Ladies Club Championship

Qualifications

The Ladies Club Championship is a two-day tournament for the members of our two ladies' leagues at Juniper Hill Golf Course. To participate, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. Be a member of either the Wednesday Ladies Day League or the Thursday Late Swingers League; AND
2. You must have played three times in the Wednesday Ladies Day League; OR
3. You must have played six times in the Late Swingers League; OR
4. You must have a combination of 2 or 3 above to equal three 18-hole league plays; AND
5. Those with a current handicap must have three 18-hole scores posted in the USGA Golf Handicap & Information Network (GHIN) for the current year (March 1 – July 31, 2013).
6. One 18-hole play in a JHLGC-sponsored tournament may be used toward the league play requirement (will count for one play in the Wednesday league and two plays in the Late Swingers league).
7. Any former Ladies Club Champion, as long as she is a current member in good standing of either the Wednesday Ladies Day League or the Late Swingers League, may qualify without having met the minimum number of league plays requirement.

The JHLGC Tournament Committee will use discretion to modify these requirements if they deem it necessary due to inclement weather resulting in multiple cancellations of either league's play. Any such modifications will be communicated to the membership no later than July 31, 2013.

All ladies are urged to include this event in their plans this summer. The dates are August 10-11, so try not to schedule your vacation for that time! We are very fortunate that our pro, Kirk Schooley, is very supportive of our ladies golf. A great way to show our appreciation is to participate in OUR club championship!

Anne Coleman North Award

The Anne Coleman North Award is given each year to a lady who is 55 or older and who has the low net score of the tournament.  Anne was a member of the Wednesday Ladies Day Golf League for years and was a great supporter of women’s golf.  This award was established in 1998 after Anne was killed in an automobile accident in December 1997.  Below is a list of the recipients.  There is also a plaque in the clubhouse listing all winners.
