Betty Satterly Memorial Award

Denise Wentz

Betty Satterly started her golf adventure after her husband passed away. Her love for the game spanned 20+ years and even though she participated in various tournaments, she especially enjoyed “The Juniper” tournament. After her death in 2009, her daughter and granddaughter started the “Betty Satterly Memorial Award” in her honor. (BTW – her granddaughter is non-other than our very own Lesa Kerns Hodge.) Betty introduced Lesa to the game of golf at the tender young age of 5 and Lesa has been at it ever since and states “I wouldn’t play now if it wasn’t for her!” Therefore, on Betty’s behalf this award goes to the JHLGC member with the lowest net score for the tournament.

Denise Wentz won the 2012 award with a net score of 59.
